BRING A CONTRIBUTION TO LIGHT

Every contribution begins with a story.

Recommend an individual or organisation, or introduce your own work. You can send an early nomination enquiry while the award programme is being developed.

Introduce the contribution

Whether nominating yourself or someone else, focus on specific work, contributions and publicly accessible evidence. This is an early nomination enquiry, not confirmation of formal entry or shortlisting.

Clear fees. Independent assessment.

The nomination fee is USD 499. Payment timing, the unit of application, taxes and refund terms will be published separately. Payments are not currently accepted on this page.

Submitting materials does not confirm formal eligibility. Payment does not guarantee shortlisting or an award, and does not constitute a purchase of a trophy, certificate or publicity service.

NOMINATION GUIDE

Describe the contribution. Prepare the evidence.

What makes a clear nomination?

Use this order: context, work completed, personal role, outcomes and supporting evidence. Replace general claims such as “highly influential” with dates, methods, beneficiaries and verifiable results. For team projects, explain the nominee’s own contribution.

Can I enquire without published research?

Yes. Heritage, education, community service and exchange may be described through evidence appropriate to that work; publications are not a universal requirement. Claims about treatment effectiveness require suitable research evidence. Formal eligibility remains subject to published category rules.

Should I enter nationality or the location of the work?

The current form asks where the main contribution took place. For work spanning several locations, explain each in the contribution summary. Formal country programme rules are still to be announced; the website language does not determine country eligibility.

What evidence should I prepare?

Start with 1–3 public sources that best support the core contribution. For each, give its title, link, date and what it demonstrates. Course records can document teaching, project reports can describe activities and outcomes, and independent partners’ records can help verify roles.

Can I update information after sending it?

Reply in the original email thread, identifying the nominee and your changes. This page does not provide an account or status tracker, and does not save drafts when you leave. Keep your downloaded responses and a copy of your sent email.

Does USD 499 include shortlisting, a trophy or publicity?

The nomination fee is not a purchase of an award or publicity package, and does not guarantee shortlisting. The unit of application, payment arrangements and refund policy are still to be published. The website does not accept payment; review the formal terms before deciding to pay.
